Post Title: Primary Class Teacher

Salary range: £125 - £200 per day

Start: As soon as you are available, inc. September starts

About the Role

Teaching:

Deliver exciting and engaging lessons, following the appropriate curricula; sourcing, preparing and using high quality resources, programmes and materials.

Use a wide range of assessment approaches (which innovative marking and feedback) to track and monitor progress and attainment and that aspirational outcomes are met.

Utilise data effectively to ensure appropriate targets are set for the children and the planning reflects the needs of all learners.

Set homework and plan other out-of-class activities to consolidate and extend the knowledge and understanding pupils have acquired as appropriate

Behaviour and Safety:

Establish a safe, purposeful and stimulating environment for pupils

Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school, raising any concerns following school protocol/procedures.

Have high expectations of behaviour and standards by positive role modelling and demonstrating the positive attitudes, values and behaviour, which are expected of pupils including dress code

Maintain good relationships with pupils, exercise appropriate authority, and act decisively when necessary.

Team working, collaboration and wider professional responsibilities

Able to work in a supportive, happy, passionate and dedicated team

Work collaboratively with all members of the team and ensure support staff are used effectively to improve outcomes for children.

Make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school and participate in any relevant meetings, professional development opportunities, pastoral sessions and assemblies at the school.

Build positive relationships with parents/carers and other stakeholders as appropriate.

Cover for absent colleagues within the remit of the current School Teachers Pay and Conditions document.

Administration:

Register the attendance of and supervise learners, before, during or after school sessions as appropriate.

Participate in and carry out any administrative and organisational tasks and other duties within the remit of the current School Teachers Pay and Conditions Document and Teachers Standards.
