Lime Talent is pleased to partner with a leading Global Food Manufacturing Business to recruit an Electrical, Automation & Manufacturing Systems Manager for their Merseyside site. In this role your responsibilities will include supporting Electrical, Automation and MES technical activities, as well as participating in CAPEX projects.
You will serve as the Senior Electrical Duty Holder, Machinery Duty Holder, and Instrument Calibration Duty Holder, ensuring that all Duty Holders are properly appointed, mentored, and supported. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise contractors' engineering staff and enforce Health and Safety protocols.
- Ensure works meet specifications and control progress according to project timelines.
- Execute maintenance requirements and ensure all electrical personnel are competent and authorized.
- Advocate for electrical safety and manage the electrical permit to work system.
- Determine and document project requirements.
- Track project progress and ensure compliance with electrical designs.
- Manage HV switching, maintenance, load demand calculations, and cable design.
- Provide coaching and development for the team.
- Ensure proficiency in PLC & SCADA Systems and MES systems.
Key Requirements
- Strong experience in Electrical Engineering with expertise in Automation and/or MES.
- Experience in supervising technical teams, contractors, or other third parties.
- Proven ability to manage internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical topics to diverse audiences and align strategies.
- Experience in multidisciplinary engineering projects.
- Involvement in the start-up of technical equipment and/or production lines.
- Self-management, following defined KPIs/Objectives, and proactive tracking.
