We are currently seeking passionate SEN Teaching Assistants. The school provides a stimulating environment for children aged 11 to 18 years old, who have a statement of Autism or related communication disorders and Social & Emotional issues. About the Role:-
- Establish supportive, caring, and secure relationships with children, promoting respect, self-esteem, and a positive attitude.
- Develop knowledge and understanding of the specific academic, physical, emotional, and behavioural/medical needs of the children, responding to them effectively.
- Support pupils with social and emotional needs in the learning process, working either 1:1 or with small groups, closely collaborating with the Class Teacher.
- Set up classrooms, prepare resources and displays, and assist the class teacher with other classroom aspects as required.
About You:
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS.
- Minimum of 2 years of referencing.
- Excellent and inspirational classroom practitioner, demonstrating outstanding classroom practice with children at the heart of all you do.
- High expectations of pupils achievement and behaviour.
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
- Experience working with children or adults in a caring capacity.
- Transferable skills such as teamwork, initiative, flexibility, adaptability, remaining calm under pressure, caring, and helpful.
- Right to work in the UK.
