£13,150.00 per annum

The Opportunity:

Abbeyfield provides supported housing for individuals looking to maintain their independence without the burden of home maintenance.

Linc Cymru is offering the opportunity to join our team as a Deputy House Manager at Abergele House, working 21 hours per week.

We are looking for someone to support our tenants and provide them with 2 delicious and nutritious meals each day. This role offers excellent work life balance, with 3 shifts a week with a mixture of weekday and weekend working (negotiable, to be discussed at interview).

This a rewarding role, supporting vulnerable people in the community. This is a varied position; no 2 days will be the same. The tenants love to get to know the people who work within their home, so we are looking for someone who enjoys a chat and getting to know new people.

What we need from you:

  • Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of residents
  • Create a welcoming and safe living environment for residents
  • Manage all services within the house
  • Plan and provide nutritious meals catering to dietary needs
  • Deliver daily meals within budget
  • Ensure resident welfare, safety, and security
  • Maintain building security
  • Connect the house with the local community
  • Supervise house staff and volunteers
  • Manage day-to-day house operations

Required Skills:

  • Enjoy cooking and have experience preparing meals for others
  • Good at talking to people of all ages and backgrounds
  • Friendly, caring, and calm with a passion for creating a happy homely environment
  • Confident to talk to families, agencies, contractors, and health professionals with ease
  • Basic IT knowledge
  • Basic health and safety understanding
