We are looking for a Strategic Business Development Manager located in the Cheshire or Mersey areas with experience working with senior NHS and private stakeholders to cultivate long-term relationships aiming to promote the company’s product portfolio at a high level. The role is suitable for candidates already working at a senior level with the NHS, are hungry for a new challenge and looking to work with great in-demand products.


The main purpose of the role as the Business Development Manager in Cheshire & Mersey for the company's Diagnostics Infectious Diseases Division is to offer high-level and strategic sales strategies that will focus on pulling together NHS Hospitals, NHS Community and Private Healthcare Providers to ensure the company is leading the way in point of care diagnostics. This role would be well suited to anyone with experience within infectious diseases or women’s health diagnostics, though candidates out with these therapy areas will also be strongly considered as experience selling to senior NHS leadership teams and proven success in a strategic role is the main requirement for the role.


Key responsibilities:

  • Developing relationships and strategies with C-suite and executive leaders within the NHS and private healthcare groups.
  • Producing and implementing strategic plans to maximise the growth of the product portfolio.
  • Proactively building relationships with the senior NHS teams.
  • Managing the business across a growing division requiring excellent communication, planning, prioritisation and relationship building both internally and externally. More specifically:
  • Producing strategic business planning and implementing a business strategy to align & partner with the private sector & NHS, maximising sales and portfolio growth.
  • Proactively working across different levels of stakeholders.
  • Providing regular timely forecasts of performance and product demands.

To be considered for the role, you must closely match the following criteria:

  • Have previous experience in strategic selling at a high level within the NHS.
  • Educated to a degree level.
  • 7+ years in medical sales.
  • Living on a patch within Cheshire and Merseyside.
