We are looking for a Senior Marketing & Communications Officer to join our Liverpool property portfolio team. Are you an excellent communicator who prides themselves in their marketing innovation and ability to tell a good story? This could be the role for you!

This role sits at the heart of everything we do here at this portfolio; conservation in action, events, community engagement, tourism experiences and amazing partnerships and we are looking for someone who can help shine a light on all that we do, whilst leading the team in engaging new audiences across the portfolio.

Hours: Part time 30 hours per week, occasional weekends, duty management as part of the role

Salary: FTE £26,832pa Actual £21,465pa

Contract: Permanent

Interviews: 10th October - we would prefer to conduct face to face interviews, however we can accommodate virtual interviews for those who would like to apply but live outside of the area and would relocate for this role.

What it's like to work here

Managed by the Visitor Experience and Programme Manager you'll lead the development and delivery of Liverpool Portfolio's marketing and communications plan to achieve its business objectives and connect people to our special places.

Our Liverpool property portfolio (comprising Speke Hall, the childhood homes of John Lennon and Paul McCartney and the photographic studio and home of E Chambré Hardman) is an award-winning cluster of exciting, diverse and unique properties, encompassing Tudor history through to contemporary professional photography and the birth place of the Beatles. This is a dynamic, customer focused portfolio in which individual talent is nurtured, development supported and where team work thrives.

What you'll be doing

You'll be planning, creating, editing, proof-reading, co-ordinating, collating and sharing content for offline and online channels, promoting our portfolios programming and wider offer. You'll work on our website and support our social media activity, sharing fascinating stories about the work we do with the media, enticing visitors to come back season after season and connecting us to our local community.

Overall, it's a diverse and challenging role and a great step for those wanting to pursue a career in Marcomms.

Who we're looking for

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • practical experience in a marketing and communications role, with a good understanding of how different channels can be used effectively
  • experience of developing marketing and communications plans
  • a good eye for presentation, with an understanding of brand management
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of information shared
  • the ability to use and interpret data to understand local audiences and make marketing decisions
  • strong team player skills, able to motivate others and build strong relationships.
