Job Requirements/Description

Our client is a leading property development and construction group delivering residential, student, retail and commercial accommodation projects across the north west.

They are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their business. The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of 10 years of solid experience in a PQS role, preferably in front-end or pre-construction activities.

Duties and responsibilities to include:

  • Manage clients and projects
  • Evaluate costs and advise on alternative proposals
  • Provide advice on contract arrangements and conditions
  • Advise architects and engineers on the cost implications of different construction methods, alternative choices of materials and size and quality of the project to ensure that each element is reconciled with the cost plan allowance and the overall project remains within budget
  • Prepare tendering documents
  • Manage the costs of projects during the construction stage and negotiate final accounts
  • Manage multi-disciplined teams to ensure project delivery

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the BTR sector is beneficial.
  • In-depth experience in cost planning for large, multi-phase residential projects.
