Job Title: Compliance Engineer

Reporting To: Technical Manager

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000

Benefits: 28 days holiday, pension, private healthcare

Purpose:


We are seeking a dynamic Compliance Engineer to join our robotics team. In this role, you will plan, schedule, and manage all technical tasks to ensure precision and the highest quality standards from inception to completion. Collaborate with the Technical Manager to optimize resource allocation, and create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation supporting our engineering, product development, and customer support teams.

Responsibilities:


  • Plan, schedule, and manage technical tasks for projects ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Create and maintain high-quality technical documents.
  • Collaborate on comprehensive risk assessments, ensuring safety regulation compliance.
  • Research and identify applicable regulatory and industry compliance standards.
  • Maintain evidence of compliance with technical files, risk assessments, and certifications.
  • Prepare Operational and Maintenance Manuals.
  • Manage and develop Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
  • Assess compliance with standards through analysis and testing programs.
  • Develop technical and functional specification documents.
  • Write technical reports and articles.
  • Proofread and edit documentation for accuracy and consistency.
  • Stay updated with advancements in machinery standards.
  • Manage multiple documentation projects, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Promote sustainable and safe practices within project activities.


Job Specification:



  • C&G or NVQ Level 3 in Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in a similar role across multiple sites.
  • Strong understanding of machinery systems, including hardware and software components.
  • Familiarity with machinery standards (UK Supply of Machinery regulations, European Machinery directive, ISO 12100, ISO 10218-2, ISO 13850, IEC 60204).
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel when required.
  • Strong time management and adaptability.


Desirable:


  • Degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Automation and robotic experience.
  • Knowledge of 3D printing processes.
