Principal Infrastructure Engineer – Liverpool

A leading specialist in data centre services is looking for an experienced Principal Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. This senior technical role offers the opportunity to lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of large-scale compute and storage platforms for clients in the health sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Infrastructure Design: Capture client requirements, create solution designs, and present them to stakeholders.
• Implementation Lead: Drive successful implementation and migration of client workloads.
• Technical Escalation: Serve as the 4th line escalation point for complex incident management and problem resolution.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure solutions adhere to security best practices and compliance standards.

Requirements:

• Proven expertise in enterprise server, storage, hypervisor, and operating systems.
• Strong background in Dell Servers & Storage - PowerEdge, PowerVault, PowerStore and PowerScale
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Linux, Unix OS, VMware ESXi, and Active Directory.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence technical decisions.

Location: North West England (Hybrid – 1 day per week in Liverpool office)

Salary: Up to £70,000 Basic Per Annum
