Role: GAS ACS - Technical Assessor Contract role Location: Remote, UK coverage We are currently looking for an External Technical Assessor in ACS Domestic, Non-Domestic, Metering & LPG Gas Sectors. Playing a pivotal role, our external Technical Assessors are a crucial part of the UKAS assessment process, providing UKAS with the essential expertise required to deliver robust assessments in Pressure Equipment Safety. Experience needed in the following areas: Manufacture of gas; distribution of gaseous fuels through mains Distribution of gaseous fuels through mains Manufacture of gas Trade of gas through mains Key skills: Hold a current ACS Gas Certificates, Assessor/IV/EV Qualifications preferable. Have an up-to-date CPD and detailed knowledge relevant to their field of expertise including industry standards, ISO/IEC 17024, GN8, MoGS. Experience of internal or external auditing would be beneficial. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, being able to communicate effectively with Certification Body staff, Senior Management Teams, Assessment Centres and their customers at all levels. Full training will be provided for to become an Assessor in Report Writing to UKAS requirements offering ISO/IEC 17024:2012 standard awareness and UKAS systems training.
