Infrastructure Support Engineer (Security) - £60K - Liverpool
A fast growing and highly innovative scientific manufacturing business, with operations located around the world are looking for an experienced Cloud Infrastructure and Security Engineer to join their team!

The Role
- Oversee and manage the companies core infrastructure systems, including both on-premises and cloud-based IT services, primarily focusing on Azure.
- Maintain the stability, security, and efficiency of in-house IT systems that support the organization’s essential operations.
- Utilise Microsoft Defender security tools to monitor alerts, assess vulnerabilities, investigate security incidents, and fine-tune detection systems for peak performance.
- Take accountability for and actively lead efforts in vulnerability management across all IT systems, aiming for continual risk reduction.
- Support the Cybersecurity Team in responding to cyber incidents and assist with issues escalated by the SOC.
- Apply analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex technical issues as part of day-to-day operations.
- Leverage communication, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities to identify, convey, and resolve issues to optimize the value of IT system investments.
- Develop and maintain up-to-date documentation to ensure that procedures and processes are well-documented, relevant, and consistently followed.
- Collaborate with Project Teams to advise on and aid in the implementation of new IT solutions.
- Assess the performance and effectiveness of current systems and devise strategies to enhance or better utilise these resources.
- Ensure established policies are being rolled out properly and adhered to across the wider business
