We are working with a thriving and highly regarded accountancy firm in Liverpool city centre, seeking a talented and experienced Tax Manager. This role is an exciting opportunity to provide tax analysis, advisory, and compliance services to a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple sectors. The firm prides itself on delivering exceptional client service and innovative tax solutions.

This role is ideal for an ambitious tax professional who holds ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualifications, or equivalent experience, with a strong background in corporate tax and advisory work. You'll be expected to bring excellent technical knowledge and a proactive approach to help clients achieve tax efficiencies while ensuring compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead on Corporate Tax projects, providing expert advisory services on acquisitions, mergers, restructuring, and succession planning.
• Offer specialist advice on VAT and R&D tax, identifying opportunities for tax savings.
• Review and complete tax returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to compliance requirements.
• Provide tailored tax planning, advice, and risk mitigation strategies to a diverse range of clients.
• Attend client meetings, acting as the main point of contact for tax-related queries, ensuring the highest standards of client service.
• Take full ownership of projects, from initiation and complex execution, through to delegation, managing junior staff, and billing.
• Mentor and support junior team members, promoting a culture of customer service excellence and technical development.
• Identify and proactively present opportunities for both the firm and its clients, communicating effectively with senior partners.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you should be:

• Qualified (ACA, ACCA or CTA) or have equivalent relevant experience.
• An experienced tax accountant with a proven track record in corporate tax and advisory work.
• Technically strong, with a proactive, client-focused mindset.
• Confident in leading client relationships, providing insightful advice, and managing multiple projects.
• Motivated to mentor junior staff and contribute to the development of a high-performing team.
