Sinclair is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) to serve as a strategic advisor for key non-revenue generating functions, including Quality, Finance, HR, Supply Chain, IT, Legal, and others. This role will play a critical part in shaping and executing the people strategy while also overseeing local HR operations at our Chester location. The HRBP will act as a trusted partner to leadership, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives and driving effective people management to foster organisational success. This position requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on HR operational support, ensuring seamless integration of HR practices across the organisation.

Location: Hybrid working 3 days in the office 2 at home, Lakeside, Chester Business Park, Cheshire, CH4 9QT

Roles and Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Partnering:

  • Collaborate with senior leaders across non-revenue generating functions (Quality, Finance, HR, Supply Chain, IT, Legal, etc.) to align HR strategies with business objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategic HR initiatives focused on talent management, workforce planning, succession planning, and organisational design.
  • Advise leadership teams on performance management, employee engagement, and talent development challenges.
  • Analyse key HR metrics (e.g., turnover, retention, employee satisfaction) to offer insights and recommend improvements to drive business success.
  • Support and embed HR strategies into broader business transformation and change management initiatives.


HR Operations:

  • Oversee end-to-end local HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and offboarding for non-revenue generating departments.
  • Manage day-to-day employee relations, including handling grievances, resolving conflicts, overseeing disciplinary actions, and promoting employee engagement.
  • Ensure adherence to local labor laws, company policies, and HR compliance standards.
  • Oversee the administration of HR processes, such as benefits, payroll coordination, and contract management.
  • Conduct regular audits of HR practices and systems to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.


Talent Development & Workforce Management:

  • Partner with department heads to assess training needs and promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Design and manage talent reviews and performance management processes to align with business priorities.
  • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives within non-revenue generating functions.


Local HR Leadership:

  • Act as the primary HR contact for employees and leadership at the Chester office, ensuring smooth HR operations and addressing local needs.
  • Facilitate employee communications and serve as a conduit between the local office and global HR to ensure alignment with company-wide HR initiatives.
  • Champion a positive, inclusive workplace culture that promotes employee well-being and drives high performance.


Essential:

  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or in a similar strategic HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR operations, including local employment laws, employee relations, and HR processes.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate HR data into actionable insights for senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leaders in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic HR initiatives with day-to-day operational HR responsibilities.


Desirable:

  • Experience managing complex transformational change initiatives.
  • Experience with organisational restructuring or reorganisation.
  • Multi-territory HR management experience.
  • International HR experience.
