Established in 1997 as the first manufacturer of sushi for the UK supermarket industry, Taiko has evolved into the most innovative manufacturer of Sushi, Food To Go, Prepared Meals and Snacking products in the UK, supplying Waitrose, Tesco and Sainsbury’s to name a few. Over the past 25 years Taiko has launched more first to market Sushi and Food to Go products than any other sushi manufacturer in the UK.

You will coach teams on food safety and quality standards, ensuring product safety and compliance. You will also manage non-conforming materials, conduct GMP audits, and review manufacturing records, issuing reports with corrective actions.

Perform root cause analysis for non-conformances, organoleptic assessments of finished products, and maintain QMS documentation. Conduct traceability audits, ensuring compliance with BRCGS standards and regulations. Develop internal auditing tools, implement data-driven quality improvements, and monitor production processes.

Additionally, you will assist with policy development, provide quality planning support, and conduct training sessions to ensure adherence to regulatory and quality standards across the organisation.

You will be responsible for supporting the technical/quality teams as well as production and operations
teams in complying with BRCGS, legal and customer technical standards and expectations,
through coaching and auditing, embedding a ‘right first-time’ approach.

• 2+ years of experience working with quality systems.
• 2+ years food manufacturing experience, preferably in a technical role
• Level 3 HACCP
• Level 3 Food Safety
• Auditor Qualification
• Recognised allergen qualification
• A basic understanding of customer codes of practice (eg: allergen, labelling and coding, and
foreign body detection
• Training in root cause analysis methods and tools
• Train the trainer
• Proficient in Microsoft packages, especially Excel
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management systems.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
• Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
