Driver Trainer

Our client, who are a known transport company are seeking a skilled and experienced Driver Trainer to join their team in Liverpool. The Driver Trainer will be responsible for providing comprehensive training to new drivers that join the company.

Job Type: Permanent

Days: Monday to Friday

• Develop and deliver engaging and effective training programs for HGV drivers, focusing on safe and efficient driving practices.
• Conduct assessments and provide constructive feedback to drivers to support their ongoing development.
• Keep up to date with industry regulations and best practices, and incorporate these into training programs.
• Collaborate with management to identify training needs and support the on-boarding of new drivers.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvements.

• Proven experience as a Driver Trainer with expertise in container and general haulage.
• Certification as an approved driving instructor or equivalent qualification.
• Strong understanding of relevant legislation and best practices in the HGV driving industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate drivers.
• Ability to adapt training techniques to meet the needs of diverse drivers and create an inclusive learning environment.

• Staying updated on industry regulations and integrating them into training programs.
• Collaborating with management to assess training needs and support on-boarding.
