Strategic Commercial Manager | Utilities Brand | Hybrid Working

Cheshire

£55,000-£60,000 + 10.5% bonus + 14% employer pension contributions + onsite gym + hybrid working


Overview:

This reputable utility brand who are proud to be ranked #11 in the inclusive top 50 UK employers List are looking to expand their Procurement function and are recruiting for a Strategic Commercial Manager. These roles will see you managing all commercial activity and be part of the wider leadership function. You don’t need to come from the energy sector to apply but experience within indirect services or technologies categories would be essential. The role offers flexible working with 3 days on site and the rest remote.


What the role involves:

  • Market strategy: Develop integrated market strategies for complex, medium high spend categories, with significant business impact.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Establish a collaborative way of working with all relevant stakeholders that support the successful transition of integrated market strategies to relevant sourcing led executions.
  • Manage the Contract Life Cycle, manage the contract life cycle in accordance with the contract.
  • Market recognition: Recognised for their expert market knowledge.
  • Contribute to the development of the category management team to maximise value for the organisation by supporting and providing guidance to peers.
  • Cost Transparency, ensure information is submitted in required formats.


The person we hope to find:

  • A real team player, able to work under pressure to tight deadlines and have good attention to detail.
  • Effective commercial / contract management skills, with clear knowledge of best practice contract methodologies
  • Supplier management.
  • Able to demonstrate a considerable track record of administering successful contracts
  • Highly developed commercial skills and demonstrable ability to make sound decisions on matters of significant financial value.
  • Good understanding of contract performance measurement, risk management and change and claim management
