General Manager

An excellent permanent and full-time opportunity has become available to join the team as a General Manager based on site at Wrexham University, Wrexham, LL11 2AW. This is a hands-on role responsible for overseeing the catering operations at the University.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for the successful and smooth running of all catering outlets within the university including the main restaurant serving breakfast and lunch, branded coffee bars, hospitality, and our St Asaph Campus. As GM, you will lead team of Aramark employees to success whilst managing the P&L.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, attention to detail on service whilst being able to lead from the front further developing the offer and the onsite team.

A day in the life of a General Manager:

· Build and maintain key relationships both internally and externally and attend regular service level review meetings.

· Recruit, train and lead your teams to success

· Oversee all aspects of the operation to deliver outstanding service levels

· Manage all hospitality for our events and functions

· Full P&L responsibility; manage all financials and achieve food and labour targets

· Oversee and ensure all cleaning and safety procedures are consistently delivered

You'll be set up for success if you have:

· Experience operating as a General Manager with hospitality experience

· Experience leading a team to success

· Financially astute and commercially aware

· First class customer service skills and a passion for delivering service excellence

· Can bring innovation to the team
