Trading Manager - Same Day Service

We are looking for a Trading Manager for our Same Day Service, ideally we are looking for an candidate that can drive and increase sales on this service for our online team.

Purpose of the role:

To own and drive sales performance across Same Day Delivery whilst ensuring we grow and adapt the channels. To implement a clear trading plan aligning with channels to support with key events & same day specific promotions, liaising with both suppliers & buyers. Optimisingthe site & identifying opportunities for our same day customers.

Key Accountabilities:

Drive profitable sales growth:

• Identify service opportunities to grow sales with profitability in mind
• Challenge under performance through effective reporting to Retail
• Complete weekly reviews on same day and identify new opportunities
• Focus on store utilisation to ensure we are not turning customers away and seeing where we can grow the business
• Create a future strategy to provide direction

Manage retail relationship:

• Influencing key stakeholder at all levels to raise awareness and drive performance across both channels
• Able to forge relationships quickly through effective networking with internal and external stakeholders

Keeping things simple and efficient to reduce costs:

• Ongoing cost control to deliver all financial targets & drive company initiatives
• Ability to work efficiently with the wider Online & Marketing teams
• Experience:
• Strong communicator who is able to take complicated situations and articulate in a simplified format
• Strong understanding of Store Operations and Digital Operations
• Ability to interpret complicated spreadsheets and translate into actional information
• Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint & Word
