We are seeking to appoint a full time Site Manager to join our dedicated team in Merseyside for a period of 6 to 9 months (on a fixed term contract). Whilst this role is temporary to cover maternity leave, we are a growing company and so we may have ongoing opportunities within the organisation after this period comes to an end.


The focus of this role is to ensure the smooth running of all business activities at the MAC site in accordance with ICH-GCP and MAC SOPs, and optimise profitability by leading the MAC team to meet/exceed business projections.


KEY SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Considerable proven experience in clinical research.
  • Previous line management experience
  • Clinical/Research background e.g. Nursing/Medical/Research Coordinator.
  • Ability to achieve business targets by developing/contributing to strategies and campaigns with the clinical, recruitment and patient liaison teams.
  • Demonstrates a sound knowledge of ICH/GCP and MAC SOPs
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Demonstrate authority and maturity in discussions with medical professionals, sponsors, staff and senior management.
  • Participate in the development of organisational strategy
  • Demonstrate problem solving, analytical, organisation and time management skills
  • Excellent managerial skills; coaches, guides, and professionally develops those reporting to them.
  • Exhibit customer focus, flexibility and team spirit with the ability to lead and influence others.
  • Provide leadership and support to the site team, conducting annual Personal Development Plan (PDP) of site team members along with identifying and supporting the training and development needs of individual members of staff.
  • Lead the site team in pursuit of clinical excellence and high standards of patient care.
  • Ensure that all Standard Operating Procedures and Policies are adhered to at site level.
  • Participate in patient recruitment strategy discussions, to optimise local site recruitment.
  • Monitor the progress of studies on a weekly basis against the recruitment plan.
  • Maximise clinic utilisation.
  • Be aware of study targets and progress towards achieving them.
  • Ensure financial processes are adhered to as defined in the Standard Operating Procedures.
