1:1 Primary Teaching Assistant

The Supply Register is delighted to partner with the Wade Deacon Trust, proudly supporting Yew Tree Primary Academy. We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEN/D) to provide essential 1:1 support to a student.

About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in creating a nurturing and supportive environment for a student with additional needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting difference, especially for children who may be non-verbal or require tailored communication approaches.

our Key Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a student with SEN/D, including non-verbal communication strategies.
• Collaborate closely with the SENCo to implement effective support strategies.
• Assist the Class Teacher in maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.

What We re Looking For:

• Experience working with children with additional needs, especially those who are non-verbal.
• A compassionate and patient approach, with a focus on building trust and understanding.
• A current DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Availability to work school hours, Monday to Friday.
