Job Title: Yard Operative

Location: Liverpool

Salary: £11.71 per hour plus regular overtime

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Working Hours: Monday Friday 07.30am 4:30pm plus regular overtime (Saturday mornings 08.00am 12.30pm paid at time and a half).

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Yard Operative to join our team in Wavertree, Liverpool.

Responsibilities Yard Operative:

• The Yard Operative will assist in the running of a busy builder s yard
• Serve customers quickly and efficiently
• Collate orders for delivery
• Receive and check incoming deliveries
• Ensure paperwork is accurate
• Assist with regular stock takes
• Maintain standards of cleanliness and safety within the working environment
• Undertake any reasonable task from time to time at the Branch Manager s request as may be deemed appropriate within the scope of the post

Requirements Yard Operative:

• You must have a Forklift Licence
• An understanding of general building, roofing and timber materials
• Flexible can-do attitude
• Ability to provide excellent customer service
• Able to work effectively in a team or alone under own initiative
• Strong communication skills
• Experience cutting timber to size desirable but not essential.
