This growing company that specialises in rewind services and repairs, is seeking an Electrical Fitter for their electrical repairs/rewinds workshop. You role will involve:-
- Use of standard electrical meters for current,voltage,resistance etc
- Dismantling of all types of electric motors.
- Visual inspection of motors noting shaft condition i.e. bearing journals, threads, and shaft straightness
- Spot marking body & endplates for correct re-assembly
- Noting and tabulating winding condition for winding resistance and earth resistance
- Having noted all the above ,assemble motor and test to nameplate details
- To check motors when running.
- Check against standard values for all test figures noting current, voltage running speed and earth resistance
- All work to be checked/signed off by Supervisor/Manager.
Experience required:-
- Experience of repairing and dismantling electric motors (from a rotating equipment) point of view
- Experience of working in a electrical repairs workshop
- Time-servied electrical fitter experience
