SEN teaching assistant

Salary: 85 - 95 per day (dependent on experience)

Tradewind Recruitment is actively recruiting Supply Teaching Assistants to support our network of SEND schools on the Wirral. We offer flexible working options, whether you're seeking full-time or part-time work, allowing you to balance work with your lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working within SEND school environments, supporting children with special educational needs
• Assisting the classroom teacher in managing lessons and student engagement
• Offering tailored support to individual students or small groups with diverse SEND needs
• Promoting a safe, inclusive, and positive learning atmosphere
• Helping with classroom management and student progress monitoring

Requirements:

• Experience in a similar role or working with SEND children (preferred)
• A calm, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting children
• Excellent communication skills and a team player mentality
• A current enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
