About the role:

Here at Clarke Energy, the Human Resource department provides support to the business to ensure that productivity is maximised through the effectiveness of our employees. Supporting not only the UK and Ireland, the HR team provide support to the wider Clarke Energy group. Responsibilities cover a wide range of activities but at the core is recruitment, employee performance, welfare, training and development, compensation, benefits and employment law compliance.

Role & Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly motivated HR Advisor to come and join our HR team to cover a period of maternity leave for approximately 12 – 14 months. In this role you will deliver a proactive and flexible HR service, with a focus on supporting the talent acquisition needs of the business. In addition, the role will provide relevant and appropriate HR support to all employees through best practice and ensuring compliance with all company procedures, documented policies, and employment legislation.


Responsibilities


Recruitment

  • Responsible for the full recruitment process from employee requisition through to compiling offers and issuing contracts of employment.
  • Supporting hiring managers during the interview process.
  • Ensure all vacancies are advertised through internal procedures, keeping the website up to date and liaising with 3rd party recruitment agencies on occasion.
  • Take a proactive lead on directly sourcing candidates through networking and LinkedIn to build a pipeline for roles across the business.
  • Support the recruitment strategy and aim to reduce recruitment spend by utilising cost-effective methods of recruitment i.e. LinkedIn, job boards, promoting referrals.
  • Record all vacancies on the vacancy tracker to log to method of recruitment and spend.
  • Support the recruitment of contractors and ensure compliance with IR35 in conjunction with the HR Manager.
  • Working with recruitment agencies to deliver contractor requirements as well as direct contractors to the business.
  • Ensure contractor set up is managed efficiently with Kohler, IT, QUENSH and the hiring manager.


On-boarding


  • Provide all new starters with a HR induction and support through the full employee lifecycle.
  • Ensure training providing on NaturalHR for self-service.
  • Take the lead on managing the Company probation review process.
  • Ensure probation dates are adhered to and any salary increases are processed in line with successful probation completion.
  • Support managers when needed when there are specific concerns in relation to an employee’s performance during a probation period.
  • Ensure written communication is shared with employees to confirm the probation outcome.
  • Follow the probation feedback process to ensure we capture feedback from employees on their initial time with Clarke Energy and ensure this is reportable.


Leaver Process

  • Manage the leaver process to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Ensure exit interviews are conducted with reportable data and essential feedback communicated in the business.



Administrative Tasks


  • Keep personnel files up to date, ensuring any correspondence is filed promptly and accurately using Pyramid HR.
  • Adherence to company procedures in relation to salary increases, department transfers etc.
  • Manage the annual pay review in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Manage the probation review process for all new starters ensuring any contractual salary increases are applied.
  • Provide information in preparation of the board report.
  • Ensure the leaver process is followed and support with exit interviews when needed.
  • Support internal communications through the creation of a monthly newsletter with business updates and useful/interesting content.


Projects


Support the HR strategy with involvement in any HR projects which are underway. These will vary year on year but support and input into any projects is essential.

The role is based in our head office in Knowsley, Liverpool with the option of home working.


Knowledge & Skills


Essential

  • Previous experience in an internal recruitment role or a role where recruitment can be busy and fast paced.
  • Experience using LinkedIn recruiter.
  • Excellent administrative skills.
  • Generalist HR experience within an HR environment.
  • Experience of working with and advising line managers.
  • Confidence to work across all levels of the business.
  • Previous experience of using a HR system.
  • Excellent IT skills, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.

  • CIPD Level 5 qualified or desire to qualify.
