Site Health & Safety Manager

Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures specific to the site.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with UK Health and Safety regulations and CDM (Construction Design and Management) regulations.
Manage and coordinate health and safety activities across various contractors, ensuring all are aligned with Mecalux and client expectations.
Deliver safety inductions, tool box talks, and ongoing training to site personnel.
Investigate and report on accidents, incidents, and near misses, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
Liaise with the principal contractor, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and effective health and safety management.
Ensure proper documentation of risk assessments, method statements, and other safety-related documents.
Implement emergency procedures and conduct regular drills to ensure preparedness.
Monitor and enforce compliance with working at height regulations and other high-risk activities.

Qualifications and Experience:
NEBOSH Certificate in Construction UK (or equivalent).
Valid CSCS card.
Extensive knowledge of UK Health and Safety regulations, CDM regulations, and industry best practices.
Proven experience in managing health and safety on construction sites, particularly in high-risk environments.
Experience in installation of automated warehouse systems, including cranes and conveyors, is highly desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
