I am seeking an experienced Contract BI Developer to join my clients team on a 6 month contract.
This role is ideal for a skilled BI professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and has a background in Power BI, SQL, and DAX. You will be responsible for developing and optimizing business intelligence solutions, providing valuable insights, and working closely with our data engineers to ensure seamless data integration and reporting.
The role will pay £200 per day, outside IR35. Ideally, the right candidate would be willing to visit the Liverpool office once a week. Experience in the betting/gambling industry is desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models.
- Write and optimise SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.
- Develop complex DAX calculations to meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with data engineers to ensure the integrity and availability of data for reporting.
- Analyze data to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to BI tools and data sources.
- Assist in the documentation and standardization of BI processes.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a BI Developer, with a strong portfolio of Power BI projects.
- Proficient in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Strong understanding and experience with DAX for complex data modeling.
- Previous experience working closely with data engineers to integrate and manage data sources.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications and deliver high-quality BI solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with other BI tools and technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
