Position : Manufacturing Project Manager

Location : Liverpool, Merseyside, Lancashire, Greater Manchester

Sector : Manufacturing, automotive

Salary : £50,000-£60,000

Hybrid : No, this is an onsite position

Visa : No sponsorship


Manufacturing Project Manager

You will lead the planning and execution of automotive manufacturing projects from inception to completion, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and within budget.


This will include : -


  • Project planning & delivery of projects
  • Act as interface between clients, engineering teams, and external suppliers to ensure project goals are met
  • Work closely with engineering, design, procurement, quality assurance, and production teams to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Manage project budgets, monitor spending, and report on financial performance against projections.
  • Ensure that all projects comply with industry regulations and company standards, maintaining a high level of quality in all deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project timelines, tracking progress and making adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Implement process improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and profitability for future projects.
  • Prepare and present regular status reports to senior management and other stakeholders


What do you bring to the table ?


  • Proven experience of Project Management experience within the manufacturing or automotive industry
  • An understanding of automotive systems, manufacturing processes, and supply chains.
  • The ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficient in project management software - MS Project preferred
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A degree level qualification, or relevant relevant industrial knowledge and experience will be considered.
  • Recognised Project Management certification (Prince2/PMI etc)


Experience of the following processes is beneficial


  • Experience with heat treatment, furnaces and high temperature applications
  • CNC Machining
  • Quality auditing qualifications TS 16949
  • Six Sigma
  • SAP Business One / Beas
