Electrical Design Engineer

City Calling is working on behalf of our client to find a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading Mechanical & Electrical Engineering practice based in Liverpool. The successful candidate will work on a range of exciting projects, from bespoke developments to large-scale multi-million-pound schemes across the UK.

About You We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer who:

• Has at least 2 years' experience in an M&E consulting environment (recent graduates are also welcome to apply).
• Holds an HNC or degree qualification.
• Has working knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit and is capable of using Amtech.
• Demonstrates strong skills in electrical design, with the ability to produce high-quality work.
• Is a team player, self-motivated, and eager to progress in their career.
• Is comfortable attending client meetings and working to deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertaking the full design process, from specification and tender through to contractor management and project completion.
• Preparing electrical layouts, fire alarm systems, and lighting designs.
• Developing strategies for security, CCTV, access control, and assisted living systems.
• Producing electrical distribution schematics and photovoltaic panel designs.
