Building Surveyor

We are currently partnering with a reputable South-Wales based Local Authority, who are recruiting for a Building Surveyor to join their growing team on a three month contract, with opportunities to extend past this.

This is a full-time position with an hourly rate of circa. £32.00 per hour via an umbrella company and the start date is subject to notice.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Revisiting already assessed Category One properties, completing compliance checks and progressing these cases as required
• Completing surveys against the Housing Act 2004 Part One
• Identifying issues relating to Damp and Mould and structural issues
• Carrying out surveys in line with HHSRS
• Creating specifications of work for remedial works as required
• Carrying out enforcement on works in line with landlords for specialist works

Requirements:

• Experience required in Social Housing
• Experience working with customers within housing
• HNC/HND or equivalent qualification
• Full UK driving licence
